How to get Firefox to stop promoting Nazi content
I've been a very long time Firefox user, and have for many years been aghast at how prominently Firefox promotes a virulently antisemitic paper called "The Guardian" on its recommended stories. Every time I see it, I thumbs it down, and have been doing so for years, hoping that eventually the algorithm would stop recommending that junk to me. I have NEVER clicked a link to "The Guardian" from the recommended stories page either, not even once. I'll often see 2-3 links from this virulently antisemitic paper and thumb each one down. Why does the algorithm keep recommending it to me? I know that I can turn off Recommended stories, however I like the content, and have found a lot of interesting stuff through it. Why is Firefox relentlessly pushing Nazis propaganda?
(If you don't think The Guardian pushes virulently antisemitic Nazi propaganda, I would be happy to share links demonstrating how it does exactly that, but since this is a new account, I don't want the algorithm to think I'm spamming.)

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Firefox’s Recommended Stories section (powered by Pocket, which is part of Mozilla) surfaces content from a wide range of publishers. The system doesn’t “push” any single outlet, but instead suggests stories based on popularity and user engagement.
A couple of things you can try:
Fine-tune recommendations: Keep using the thumbs-down option — it signals to Pocket that you don’t want to see similar sources.
Block sources directly: You can block specific publishers so their content won’t appear again. To do this, click the three-dot menu (…) on a story and choose “Dismiss stories from [source].”
Adjust content controls: In the New Tab page settings (gear icon on the top right of the page), you can choose what types of stories to see or hide.
If you’d still like to keep using Recommended Stories but without certain outlets, the “Dismiss stories from [source]” option is the most effective way.

I don't see the "Dismiss stories from [source]" option on any of my computers. I do seem to recall seeing it and using it in the past, but unfortunately that option is no longer present. I do see a simple "dismiss" option though, which I have also used frequently to no avail.
As mentioned, I have been thumbs-downing their content for years, and doing so on every one of my multiple Windows and Linux computers, however it unfortunately hasn't worked at all.
The content controls allow blocking by topic, and I have blocked politics, however that publisher unfortunately has their content promoted in other categories too.
Considering the complete inability to block that publisher's content, and particularly the fact I often see multiple stories from them, irrespective of how often I down-vote and dismiss their content, I find it highly unlikely that stories are indeed suggested simply based on popularity and user engagement, and are not promoted.

I'm very sorry for this, I understand how frustrating it is to keep seeing content from a publisher you don’t want.
Currently, Firefox doesn’t allow fully blocking specific publishers, and the “Dismiss stories from [source]” option is no longer available. Using the regular “Dismiss” button can help a little, but it may not remove all content from that source.
