What can install other search engines in my browser?
I have only two installed - Google and it's copy, with a modified search query so that there is no result from AI. But periodically I notice that something has installed some other search engines. Yesterday I got a search engine that plants trees and today Amazon. I delete them, but sometimes they (or some other) appear again. I can't imagine that it was me, who accidentally installed them in a hurry (when I need to quickly find something on Google).
I have the following extensions installed: - AdBlocker for YouTube - BlockTube - Fandom SideBar Remover - FoxyProxy - Google Search Ad Remover And Customizer - Google search link fix - Hide shorts for Youtube - Toggle Website Colors (Global) - uBlacklist - WindowSizer

It is very difficult to install an extension without noticing since there are at least two panels that drop from the menu button. However, I think it's possible for an extension to do it. What is hard to discover is which one.
Next time you see it, if you check the Troubleshooting Information page , you should be able to find the extension ID of the search engine. If it's not there, perhaps it was added in some other way. I have a page that allows you to extract the search.json.mozlz4 file which typically lists the source of the search engines (https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/searchjson.html).
If you check the about:policies page (type or paste that address into the address bar and press Enter to load it), do you have any "Active" policies? Normally the Active panel will say: "The Enterprise Policies service is inactive."
