Could you please clarify, what do you mean saying "can't access the dock"? And could you please describe other problems you are experiencing?

Thanks for getting back to me - I'm 81 years old, and not to savvy with computers...

With Safari, I had a dock at the bottom of my screen, with characters for the different apps...

And, at the top of my screen, I had the Apple sign, file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, etc.

With Firefox, I've got none of these...

No problem. Unfortunately, I have never used Mac and do not know much about it. However:

• The line with an Apple sign, file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, etc. is called a Menu bar. See Restore the Menu bar in Firefox.
• If after performing actions from the article above you still can't see your Dock, then it is rather a Mac issue. In that case first make sure "Automatically hide and show the Dock" setting is disabled. To check it, see the begging and the "Dock" section of this Mac User Guide article.
