How to hide my E-Mail address on Bugzilla?

I couldn't find a place to discuss topics regarding Bugzilla itself, so I'm looking in this community. If there's a better place, please tell me.

Why the hell does Bugzilla show my private e-mail address publicly (see screenshot)? That's not normal. No other online service (like Google, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, GitHub, Microsoft, etc.) publicly shows my private e-mail address that is associated with my account. How can I disable that?

If there's actually no way to disable that, I think Bugzilla is even more trash than I already thought it is. In my opinion that's standard and it should be supported, just like on any other platform on the internet. I don't like Bugzilla because it doesn't look as clear and modern as GitHub or GitLab, has a worse text/markdown editor and it seems to be lacking some useful features. It's good that Mozilla creates some competition to big tech companies but it's also valid to criticize their products if they are simply worse (which is disappointing but nonetheless, it's true sometimes).

Hi

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but is something that the Bugzilla support team might be able to help you with:

https://www.bugzilla.org/

It is worth mentioning that the visibility of your email address is mentioned when you create an account in Bugzilla - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/createaccount.cgi

Thanks for your reply. I should have read the whole description on [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/createaccount.cgi]. It clearly says that the e-mail address will be visible. In my defense, I suspect that many people don't read the entire text. For most online services, we are used to our email address not being displayed publicly. It's a restriction that is not quite privacy friendly and really not standard on most websites.

I didn't ask on Bugzilla, because it seems to be only for bugs and not for other kinds of discussions. For questions and discussions it links to Mozilla Connect or Mozilla Support. It seems like there is no proper place do discuss topics regarding Bugzilla itself.

I provided a link to Bugzilla (the team, not the platform) if you wanted to look into this further.

I see, thanks! I didn't notice the difference.
