Can't Save In RTFD Format In Thunderbird For Mac
Hello, I had to download Thunderbird (and donate to you) last November in order to access my old Rogers.com email account, because Rogers quit supporting other email clients like Apple Mail two years ago. But Thunderbird doesn't allow saving in RTFD format, only .txt text and .eml email formats. Only Apple Mail allows saving on RTFD format. How can I save emails in both RTFD format and .EML format in Thunderbird in Mac OS? I'm running a 2012 Macbook Pro with Catalina 10.15 just for the Rogers email account, because if I switch to another Mac, I lose access to the AppleMail client for my Rogers.com account. I'm mainly using a 2023 Mac Mini M2 8-512 running Mac OS Sonoma 14.5.
Switch my email and login from dave.stuhl@rogers.com to dave.stuhl05@gmail.com, as I switched to GMail last November.

What is RTFD format? I don't know, so I guess it is some Apple only thing like their image format, HEIC I think it is, that I can not view on Windows.
Yep, Google AI proved useful for once it tells me "RTFD stands for Rich Text Format Directory. It's a Mac-based package file format that stores text and images within a directory structure" so I guess that as it is an Apple proprietary format you are out of luck saving stuff to that format from Thunderbird. just as Thunderbird does not support the windows web archive format
Saving to EML is as simple as selecting file > save as or dragging an email out of Thunderbird to the desktop or a file folder.
Note that if you want to change your profile setting for email address etc you have to do it yourself.
