upload dialog linux
Is there a way to just paste a file with path for uploading. In the windows dialogue I can do that to bypass waiting, but in the linux dialogue 1. I really have to wait for all folder content to be shown (I just tried that on a network drive with a quarter million images) 2. I cannot just type paths that are hidden but I know they exist

What OS? What version of Firefox? What desktop? X11 or Wayland? How about showing what you're trying to do? What site? I can drag and drop a file in Google Voice. see screenshot

Hi, I am using Opensuse 15.5 with xfce. This is a X11 setup. The screenshot shows the upload dialog. I get filenames (without the full path) as a text response und would want to just paste the name. However, I have to wait a few minutes until the file list is shown The UPLOAD folder on top is a symlink, since there is a hidden folder somewhere in the path that I cannot open.

Not dev, but I would think that this depends on the how a site functions. I'm not seeing how this is a browser issue. Any different behavior in another browser? Like this site, I cannot paste a file, have navigate via the upload window, but google I can just drop the file. Are your files local or via network? Post your system info.
