Video Won't Play in Browser
This issue just appeared. Video will not play in Firefox. Windows10 PC, up to date with latest versions, as is Firefox. There is no error message or code. Just the spinning wheel. I see other people are having the same issue but I haven't seen a solution. Any ideas or help appreciated.

What videos?
Well, being that I'm using Firefox, a web browser, a tool to browse the internet, video content which can be found on websites(Twttr/Instagram/news,etc.) does not play. Whether it's auto-play or user prompted. Image preview is also not working. All of this worked fine and then it stopped working. I'm hopeful for a solution.
You also need to provide the site where the video is being played that is having to issue for others to replicate or verify what issue it is having on that site.
Video's seem to be working on YouTube. Every other site I've been to, video stuck in endless buffer loop. X, ESPN, Insta, any news site, ie, ABC, CNN, Fox.
Video works fine in Microsoft Edge.

Do you by chance have a N or KN edition of Windows? as that can be the cause if your do not have media feature pack installed to have the codecs needed by Firefox to fully support HTML5 players for video, audio, games. If you do indeed have a N/KN edition of Windows then it may still be possible to play some videos like older videos on Youtube but not recently upload or lives stream YT videos without the media feature pack installed..

If you do not have a KN or N edition of windows then your issues could be something else. Perhaps an extension you have installed in Firefox.
Thanx for the info. I do not have the N or KN edition. I saw that in another thread (same issue) and checked. I went through some of the troubleshooting steps, ie, cleared cache and temp files, disabled all add-ons and extensions, opened FF in troubleshoot mode.....zippo....problem persists.
This problem is on my desktop, which is my main PC. I checked my ancient laptop and all is good with that. And as I mentioned, I opened MS Edge on my problematic desktop and no issue was found. It's a bit baffling.
Doesn't seem to be a solution here in the forum. I've tried all the troubleshoot steps that support suggests. Nothing has worked. It's a drag. On to the next browser.
Not to be a nag but why don't you at least provide the links to the problem videos so others can click to see why the problem is happening? Just telling us sites it could be something as loading from somewhere else but have the same site name so others can see what if buffering and how it's loading.
I'm on Windows 7 and updated to V115.21.0esr yesterday (3/5/25) and now no videos will play on any site (FB, Insta, X, Youtube).
