I get a "Not enough room to save" error message

tuỳ chọn khác

All of a sudden, I get a "Not enough room to save" error message when I try to download a fill. There is plenty of room on my disk.

Also, it's not giving me the option of just opening the file.

I've been needing to use Edge to download files.

Hmm, I wonder what the difference is.

Do you have Firefox set to ask you where you want to save files, or does it just try to automatically save to your Downloads folder (or selected alternate downloads folder)? You can experiment with those settings on the Settings page:

Certain types of files never have the Open or Run option because these are the files that are considered executable on your OS (on Windows, these include .com .exe .lnk and others). But if it's a typical document file, you should have the option to open it in the default program for that kind of file on your system. Can you spot a pattern with this problem?

By the way, one of your add-ons has a unique ID associated with an extension blocked several years ago on the grounds that it "violates Mozilla's add-on policies by severely circumventing user consent or control." I think it changed your search engine to Yahoo without adequately explaining that, but it's hard to find information on it at this point.

"name": "Browse Privately", "version": "3.0.5", "isActive": true, "id": "{446c7519-9e32-4f9a-b562-447f4421ec9a}"

You could try disabling it as a test.

PDFs are a bit of a special case because, by default, Firefox opens them in a tab. If you do not want Firefox to auto-open them in a tab, you can set them to "Always ask" so you have more control. See the steps in this article to get to the Applications box on the Settings page: Choose your preferred PDF viewer in Firefox -- the section titled "Choose another PDF viewer to use by default or set Firefox to always ask."
