Since the last update (was executed today in my case 16-07-2024), firefox has been very slow and freezing and crashing. Also, somehow it is the only browser that can't handle yahoo finance new charts and keeps freezing....so many issues in a short span of time, please check. I have tried other browsers and things seem to work fine there, so, it is not my computer or OS.

It sounds like the recent Firefox update has caused significant issues, including slow performance, freezing, and crashing, especially with Yahoo Finance charts. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve these problems:

1. **Clear Cache and Cookies**:

   - Open Firefox and go to the menu (three horizontal lines in the top-right corner).
   - Select "Settings" and then "Privacy & Security."
   - Under "Cookies and Site Data," click on "Clear Data" and check both options to clear cookies and cache.

2. **Disable Add-ons**:

   - Sometimes, add-ons can cause performance issues. Go to the menu and select "Add-ons and Themes."
   - Disable all add-ons and see if the issue persists. If Firefox works fine, re-enable the add-ons one by one to identify the problematic one.

3. **Update Graphics Drivers**:

   - Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause rendering issues with certain websites.

4. **Refresh Firefox**:

   - Refreshing Firefox can fix many issues by restoring it to its default state while saving essential information. Go to the menu, select "Help," and then "More Troubleshooting Information." Click on "Refresh Firefox."

5. **Check for Updates**:

   - Make sure Firefox is up to date. Go to the menu, select "Help," and then "About Firefox." Firefox will check for updates and install them if available.

6. **Use Firefox in Safe Mode**:

   - Open Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the issue is caused by a setting or extension. Go to the menu, select "Help," and then "Restart with Add-ons Disabled."

RE: Slow 2024 Firefox, version 133.3 and earlier 2024 versions. My Firefox had become very slow and would freeze up. I went into the History tab, then Clear Recent History. I cleared each item seperately- History, Cookies & Site Data, Temporary Cached Files and Pages and Site Settings. I cleared it for "Everything". It worked! My Firefox is ok now.
