My browser keeps randomly resetting after startup at random. Bookmarks and add-ons stays, but my settings reset entirely and I cannot load websites at random at times.
This has happened to me too many times and haven't found a solution to it. When I open Firefox after I have booted up my PC, my browser would either function as normal and everything is kept the same, or would act as if I am new to Firefox and reset my settings and add-ons. I tried re-installing the browser and creating new browser profile, yet those solutions that I've found hasn't worked. Any solutions would be helpful, thanks
(In the image provided, this is what happens at times when opening the browser after turning on my PC)

It is possible that a new profile gets created.
You can check this on the hard drive.
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update
Primary location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
No new profile was created and it seems like I'm still using the same profile
Great, I'm tempted to just uninstall Firefox altogether and find a different browser instead. I really want to use this browser since I love how everything functions, yet I haven't heard back in this post and I don't even know where else to reach out for support. It's been such a pain in the ass to uninstall and reinstall the browser every so often and have to deal with this eventually. If someone does know a solution or at least try to help out, that'll be great. Otherwise, I guess I have to find another browser since Im tired of this issue happening.
What security software do you have in case that is causing the problem ?
Does it still happen with Developer Edition?
I'm unsure what you mean by security software nor do I know how to check for it. The closest thing I can think of is that I had Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension installed (which I uninstalled just now), and Bitdefender app itself.
And as for the Developer Edition, I haven't tried it out but I might just do that once I figure out about the security software and see if that could solve my issue
The same thing just happened after disabling Malwarebytes Browser Guard with the standard Firefox browser. I just tried using Firefox Developer Mode just yesterday and unfortunately, it already did the same thing today on that version too. So I'm out of ideas and I desperately need help to have this resolved.
As cor-el has asked, I do have Bitdefender as my security software, but I'm having a hard time to understand whether if that really is the issue. I also use Bitdefender and Firefox on my other device, yet it doesn't cause problems like this
Note that Developer Edition updates twice per week and is more aimed at developers that want to check out and test new developer features. Best is to stay at the Firefox releases, DE was suggested as a quick test and not for permanent use.
You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
