I am trying to remove the "Other Bookmarks" folder from Firefox 111 on a Windows 10 PC. I have tried the fix from a couple of years back, using about:config and changing the entry from true to false. The item is still flagged as false but, despite restarting Firefox and then Window, the folder is still showing. How do I get rid of this, for me at least, unnecessary folder?

Are you trying to remove the "Other Bookmarks" folder completely, or from the Bookmarks Toolbar?

So you want to get rid of an additional tool bar. Just right click the tool bar -> Bookmarks toolbar -> Never Show (Ctrl + Shift + B).
