new version runs ....poorly
The new version of Firefox runs very slowly, tabs take long time to load and is slowing down other operations on computer while waits for mouse to re-appear etc. Had downloaded a previous version, then firefox automatically updated and back into sheet mode. Now your ridiculous download previous version page is very much less than helpful as just keeps trying to get you to load newest (crap/buggy) version. Uninstalled firefox and computer works well again. I've used firefox for long time, but will change to something else if cant access a download for previous version that allows better operation while wait for a perhaps better working newer version. Learned lesson with windows updates over the years, not gonna use your current version of firefox.

WIthout a control to compare this is all suppositions only. My FF109 has no issue going and opening sites. Unfortunately if you install older version it will most likely still update because this is for their own security.
where can I get a previous version of firefox to download, where sure its virus free? assume firefox has a list that one can actually access? And that has a reasonable menu etc - not the redirect to previous version page in your "support" that doesn't really allow you to see/access previous versions. Try accessing page and get above.
FireFox is virus free so not sure where your getting the idea there such a thing here. Most are advised not to use outdated Firefox for security and malware sites waiting to install malware when outdated browsers go to infected sites. This is why they don't list older version on Mozilla/Firefox site. You can search online to find older repository of the Firefox. Remember this is a End User help forum not a support ticket as users of this site thinks it is.
ah so. I didn't know that (end user forum). Point, was looking for site that wasn't malware'd, a download for "safe" previous version. Only change to computer was firefox update. It runs ok for bit, then memory use goes up to 98% and everything slows to crawl and hangs computer. Thought it might be lovely windows doing forced update download, but not. If manage to shut firefox, computer runs ok, if not pretty much needs a reset.
