US Bank login just opens a blank page. This is a recent issue. It has historically worked fine until yesterday, 11/21/22.

Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Or is this problem on the bank's side?

Sometimes a blank page indicates that the site did not redirect successfully from the login flow back to the page where you started the login process (or your dashboard, or whatever page usually displays). If you try to go to a page on the site manually, will it load?

It's possible the site changed, so you might also try flushing old cached files and any cookies set by the site:

(1) Clear Firefox's Cache

See: How to clear the Firefox cache (only select Cached web content, don't clear all cookies and site data)

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.

Then try reloading the page and signing in again. Does that help?

I am having this problem, too. I think it is tied to a recent Firefox update, as I never encountered this until a week or two ago. You can load the US Bank main web page (prior to login) just fine, and you can get to the 2FA screen just fine after entering credentials - it is only after you enter your 2FA verification code and the screen refreshes that you get a blank page. There are is no text, graphics, or links visible. You can reload the page and nothing changes.

I have cleared my cache and cookies. Makes no difference. You can press F12 and see there is some script language on the page. Given this is a bank site, I'm hesitant to provide a screen capture of anything.

I am on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2, OS build 19045.2251. It certainly could be a Windows update triggering this behavior. I do not run any antivirus software other that what is built into Windows. I do run Ublock Origin, but there is no change to behavior if I disable it. Launching Firefox in troubleshoot mode changes nothing.

Edge does not have this issue, even with Ublock Origin running. I'm forced to use Edge on the US Bank site for now.  :(

If you go back to the home page (manually through the address bar, or using a bookmark), does the site behave like you never logged in?

As a side note:

When redirects stall on a blank page, the first thing I always suggest is to make sure the redirect block didn't get turned on. Here's how to check that:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future. Since we are restoring the default value, I feel comfortable mentioning it.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste accessibility.blockautorefresh and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the preference has a value of true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

I have the same problem as showell1. I tried jscher2000's solution. It didn't work. Clearing cookies and cache didn't work either.

Did you try to disable Enhanced Tracking Protection via the shield icon on the location bar ?

You can also check the Web Console for relevant-looking messages.

Thank you for all of the suggestions.

When the blank screen appears, the web site is fully loaded. You can refresh the screen but nothing changes. If I type in the US Bank web site in the browser bar, it appears as if I've never logged in.

I confirmed the accessibility.blockautorefresh setting is "False".

I tried disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection, but no luck. I'll try the Web Console path next.

I updated Firefox to version 108.0.1 (64-bit) tonight and I can now log into US Bank without issue. Glad the team got this resolved in the latest build.  :)
