Hi there. I am an online student, and platform used for my course is SIMnet by McGraw Hill. I contacted their support team today as the SIMnet course will not even load on my computer. Their answer, switch to Chrome - Mozzilla creates too many problems. I am NOT switching, and am wondering if there is a setting I can change for it to work for me? Please help - I do not like Google!! Thank you

Rhonda,

You have failed to show us the issue. Please provide screenshots comparing Chrome and Firefox, steps to replicate the issue, and if we have to login or not.  ;-))

Hi again. Apologies, not as prepared as I thought I was, and I don't have a screenshot to show you. I can only explain that I managed to "register" with SIMnet and put in the access code for my online book. The company then emailed me the link to my college's Student Portal, with my username and password that I created. I simply clicked on the link they sent me, FireFox flashed a screen that was the SIMnet login (apparently, it was so fast), and left me with the SIMnet background color with nothing else - I could not logon to try it out. I re-tried the link from my email a few times, but with the same result. That's when I reached out to the company's support chat, and the woman told me to change to Chrome. I did do a little research before reaching out to FireFox support, and found that in the US, a few institutions mentioned only to use FireFox!! I CAN start my course, but I will have to do it on my old home computer (no more updates). Thanks for trying to help

What version of Firefox is running on that computer? If it runs Windows XP or Windows Vista, that probably is the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52, which is from June 2018. That isn't considered secure, but as long as you are just using a trusted site, it's probably a reasonable risk to run. Still, I wonder why it doesn't work normally in Firefox 105? Perhaps some of the newer privacy features are breaking it.

Hi again - I just wanted to add after jscher2000's response, I tried turning off the enhanced cookie protection, restarted FireFox, and then tried clicking the link for SIMnet from my email again. The same thing still happens
