Savings PDF wont save as they use to

When saving PDF's, i need them to save like this example.... document(1), document(2)...and so on...where it auto adds a number for a duplicate named item. Under general---downloads, i have unchecked "always ask where to save files". How do i fix this so it saves as it use to?
