In my Firefox setting, I have set it so that whenever I try to download a PDF it asks me how I want to open it. This did not always happen but whenever I ask the file to open with Firefox, the file opens in a separate tab but now it still downloads the file to my computer.

Hi jahjahbinx12 , Firefox always did download files to a Temp folder and cleared the folder automatically. With the new Download Flow, Firefox downloads the files to the folder indicated in the 'Save Files To' location.

Hi,

Yes, I remember it used to save to a Temp folder but now it saves to the Download folder which is my "Save Files To" location.

Is there a way I can keep my Downloads file as my default save location while still saving PDFs to the temp folder when I want to open one with Firefox?

There seem to be different situations for different users. In my case, I have Save To Desktop location selected and Open (PDF) in Firefox. When I download a PDF it opens in Firefox and is downloaded to the Cache. If I save it from the PDF Reader it's saved to Desktop.

There aren't any Advanced Prefs that I know of which can change the Download Flow model. So, I guess you need to try different selections in your Settings and see which one works best for you.
