How can I restore my last open tabs from Firefox Sync, NOT from local profile?
My system disk failed, so I had to restore it from pretty old backup, with old Firefox version installed and old profile data. Now I want to start Firefox and reopen all my recent tabs from Firefox Sync, but not from my local (old) profile. How should I proceed?

Hi
Firefox Sync is not designed as a backup service, as the name suggests it is designed to help sync data between copies of Firefox.
Do you have the tabs you wish to restore on another copy of Firefox?
Thanks for suggestion. I do not have these tabs on another copy of Firefox, but I should be able to open all of them from Sync on my second computer, then then sync them back, then open first copy of Firefox (with old data) and then open these tabs again from Sync (synced from my second computer). Feasible?
If you had them on your second device - yes. Firefox Sync is not designed to be online storage - so please do not expect to be able to sign into a new device and see the data restored.
You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.
Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).
