What do you mean by 'labels bar' ? Are you talking about the Bookmarks Sidebar? <Control> B
Thanks for asking, Mr. McD. No. My Bookmarks Bar is just fine. What I mean is the bar that shows "INBOX, TRASH, and all individual Labels I've created for Firefox. Currently it is hidden until I hover over it. I prefer it to be permanently visible. Between last night and this morning, for reasons I do not understand, my desktop disappeared and Firefox has also been a mess. It's taken me hours to recover what I could and this compressed sidebar is the last piece remaining. If there's something I can click or unclick to make that sidebar reappear permanently I would surely like to know of it. Again, thanks for your interest and offer of help.
Make sure you do not confuse the Bookmarks Toolbar and the Bookmarks sidebar.

Hi, Cor-el, I am not confusing the Bookmarks sidebar running down the left side of my screen with anything. You do well to ask but on that point I am quite clear. The bar with which I am having a problem is the bar that contains the predetermined items starting with the red oval containing the word "Compose" and continuing to "Inbox" through "Categories" and thence to all the individual labels I have created for identifying people, agencies, etc. from which and to which I send messages. That sidebar runs down the left of my screen to the RIGHT of my Bookmarks sidebar and to the LEFT of Inbox messages I have received. I simply don't know any better way to describe it though so far my description has confused you and the other person who has been kind enough to offer help.
I apologize for being such a dunce but I think I managed to take a screenshot with the Firefox Screenshot feature but now I cannot find the Screenshot to send it to you. And, yes, I am a proud Luddite though a rather embarrassed one at this moment.
Take another screenshot, and save it to the desktop. Easy to find this way.
I believe you are referring to a sidebar on the email site you use. The email provider may have changed its layout.
O. K. Mr. McD, I hope this works. All I'm concerned about is the Mozilla Firefox window.
I agree with Terry-, this is a website issue.
Make sure you are not blocking content.
