Filename of Download - Double Spaces Changed To Single Spaces (changed automatically; not desireable)

When I download a file, I often separate sections of the name with 2 spaces, to make it easier to read. (I also use different types of brackets and hyphens etc.) See example in screenshot attached.

This worked fine with Firefox, until about 6 to 12 months ago I think. Since around that time, the filename that I choose is no longer being retained. Now, each double space is being changed automatically to just a single space.

I tested Chrome and Brave browsers using all the same parameters (same filename, source file, website, computer, user etc). Those browsers both respected the name chosen and retained the double spaces.

Obviously, changing the filename from the one the user chooses is not expected or desireable. If this is a "feature" rather than a bug in Firefox, then could you please create a way to disable it, eg in settings or about:config. Thanks.
