I have been using Firefox since Navigator finally folded. A couple of years ago I switch OS over to Linux Mint. I was using Firefox 64 at the time of the switch. I am currently using Firefox 97. Ever since that time I have had 2 problems that I can not solve. These "problems" do not happen all the time but they have very often. Several times an hour as a matter of fact. The problems are: 1. When I right click on an item within a couple of inches of the right hand side of the screen, the reaction is unpredictable. Right Click means press the right hand mouse button and then release it. Example: When I right click on an image in the middle of the page to open that image in a new window - the right click menu opens and I can select the operation I want performed. No problem. But if the image desired is on the right hand, on or close to the edge of the page, right clicking causes another operation, totally unrelated to the right click menu to occur. The right click menu never appears. Sometimes I am presented the Save as File option. Sometime I get the Block Element option. And sometimes I get the Inspect Accessibility Properties option. I have no control over which function will appear. If the page size is larger than the screen size and I move the slider at the bottom of the screen to bring the image to the middle of the screen, the problem does not occur. So the problem only exists on that 2 or 3 inches of the right hand edge of the screen. And it happens regardless of what size monitor or what monitor settings I'm using. The work around is to press and hold the right mouse buttom. This allows the right click menu to appear and I can select the option I want. But this happens only on items within a couple of inches closest to the right hand side of the screen. No where else. The Mint "experts" tell me the problem is in Firefox and not in Mint.

2. Clicking Off (I.E. clicking on a unoccupied or unused section of the screen in order to terminate a called function such as the right click menu). Doing this often (but not always) results in the entire Firefox screen minimizing itself to a very small, but still visible box in the middle of the monitor.

Do the developers of the Firefox browser have any idea what is happening and how I can fix or prevent it?

Try downloading another copy of Firefox, run it from the folder and see if you have the same issue.

Already tried that. Even tried complete, clean reinstalls. The problems still exist. The problems have existed through several versions of Firefox. FYI the machine is a Dell.
