The German word concoction "Verschlimmbessern" which translates into "constantly 'improving' something until it actually becomes worse or dysfunctional". I'm at a point now where we all give up on Firefox as these constant updates and uncalled and not requested changes not only become annoying but also introduce new dysfunctionality. (just like Windows 10 updates) Too many to list here. but this job securing through constant new updates and changes gets very annoying. Now the search feature has changed into some absurdity having to be in the address bar. We don't need that we don't want that! we wanted like it is and always was before. Searching support I found answers but applying them does not work: "browser.urlbar.suggest.searches" change to false Search "keyword.enabled" change to false Search "browser.fixup.alternate.enabled" change to false browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus change to false browser.urlbar.update1 change to false browser.urlbar.update1.interventions change to false browser.urlbar.update1.searchTips change to false About to uninstall this nonsense altogether and install an old version again or better yet just give up on it and find another browser! I need a reliable browser that works and not something that annoys me after every update.
