My security software is indicating vulnerabilities in Firefox. When I check the messages, they are all in versions in the range of 63.0 to 66.0.3. I currently am using 89.0.2. When I do an "App list", I see 8 versions listed. If I try to uninstall any of them, I get the message that there is no application to do that. What do I need to do? John

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

Hi John, does your security software provide the path to the problem file?

If not, is it possible the program is finding installers, a "Portable" folder, or something else in the Downloads folder?

Actually, it's more likely this is old debris in the Windows Registry.

I've never used it, but Microsoft has a cleanup tool here that might help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d

If there are multiple versions of Firefox listed in the Windows Control Panel then it is possible that you only see orphaned entries from older Firefox versions and that only the current release is really installed. This can happen if the Firefox updater didn't remove the entry of the previous version, but merely added an entry for the new version. You need to check if those entries point to an older Firefox version and not to the current release. If you uninstall older versions that actually no longer are installed then you will likely uninstall the current Firefox version and you will have to reinstall the current Firefox release.
