no native full screen
I just want native full-screen. It's 2021- why is such a simple feature still impossible!??? (Heck- even F11 doesn't work on my computer). Please please please- just a check-box for "Always launch in full-screen mode". Speaking of such matters- your smooth scroll option ain't! I have to use Logitech's extension to get it and even then there's no speed control. I see this endlessly- companies focus on glitz and gloss over/see through the essential basics (It's what killed Opera!).

Is this Windows? I'm not sure what's a native full screen.
Native, as in natural, first. It's a common language convention. To boot into full screen Firefox- to click on Firefox and have it automatically display in full screen, not a window. !!!

Thanks! I did seek a fix in extensions department- dunno how i missed your find. Anywho, my bad- i appreciate the find! I still think is basic enough to warrant a check-box option in Settings. But that's Mozilla for you. (Earth to Mozilla: more attention to basics, less to glitz.) Now if only i could get them to make de-autoplay video setting actually work!! Infinice
Why are computers like hemorrhoids? When you sit down, the pain returns!
Uh, cancel the party... Extension isn't working. Claims to be activated but not full-screening, sigh.
That's strange. You've mentioned that even F11 doesn't work. What happens when you press F11?
Full screen appears but only at far right edge of screen (most of FF window off-screen entirely). Weird, but then techno-glitches are so common in Windows that it's hardly exceptional. For this class of problems (visual clutter), I recommend freeware utilities like Clutter Cloak, and the orphanware, CinemaDrape (probably still lingering in crevices of internet- has clunky frustrating GUI but once decyphered, is very useful). Thanks for your interest mate! Cheers.
Try to rename/remove xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make changes effective.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
I'm sorry, but that was useless. Either it was coherent, articulately explained and i'm just not smart/skilled enough to understand (I certainly found no profiles page in my [closed] firefox folder), or you were too vague explaining the process. Either way, i got nowhere fast. And, equally, my inadequacies as a user aside, i'm still confident that this issue, like don't autoplay videos, needs some work. Thanks for trying to help.
