I can no longer hover cursor to see bookmarks. How can I change this?

Hmm, maybe you were using the optional bookmarks menu button ()?

To add that button, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

  • Click the "Library" button () or access Library from the main menu
  • Click "Bookmarks"
  • Click "Bookmarking Tools"
  • Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

Prior to the last Firefox update I used to hover my cursor in the upper right hand corner over one of the icons, I'm not even sure which one because I never paid attention, and the bookmarks and bookmark folders would come up on the right side of the page. I could just move the cursor over the desired page and select it. Other browsers still do something similar. They've just always done that and now in order to see my saved bookmarks Now I have to click on the same icon which opens up a side bar that stays there until I X it out. How do I get it back to the prior situation? I hope that helps. Thanks

jscher2000 - thank you, you were correct. I was able to locate the menu button and add it back to the free space on the menu bar. I thought it was changed after the upgrade but now I'm wondering if it was changed in the refresh I did. Either way, it's back! :-)
