Can I have 32 and 64 bit versions at the same time
Hi, I am an experienced firefox user for more than 2-3 years. But i recently need NPAPI plugins to do certain works. I learned that i need 32 bit to do that. I already have 64 bit. Now my question is can i have 32 and 64 bit at the same time? If i can't, then can i migrate my data from 64 bit to 32 without any data loss? i am free to give further info if needed. Thank You!

You can have as many versions of Firefox as you want. However, each must use its own profile because of compatibility issues.
You can use sync to share passwords, bookmarks, and history. Anything else may not be compatible.

Thank you very much.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
Dear FredMcD, could you please be more specific on the compatibility-issues? What exactly is to be extected if you use the same profile for a 32 Bit and for the 64 Bit version? Is there a list of the incompatible items?
The reason why I ask: A client of mine has more than 75,000 installations of Firefox ESR 32 Bit and asked me to prepare a migration to 64 Bit. There is no option possible to use the Firefox Account for a synchronisation and asking the users to create a new profile, would be a hard to swallow pill. This could even end up in serveral tousands of incidents as users do now accept such behaviour.
I appreciate any details. Thanks Amir

Some data is not compatible between different versions or computer systems. You can use sync to share compatible data.

75,000 installations ? ! ?
I assume this is on different computers/systems.

Was the client a Linux distribution?
