I seem to have signed up for a product that costs $2.99 per month. I don't know what the product is and I don't use it. Mozilla provides no way to cancel this charge that I have been able to find.

I searched the Internet and found that Mozilla offers the Firefox Private Network, a VPN (virtual private network, a data "tunnel" which helps you browse more anonymously, so noone can track your location or IP address). If you want to cancel your subscription, try this page: How do I cancel my subscription to Firefox Private Network? After you're done, uninstall its browser extension: How to install/uninstall the Firefox Private Network extension

Reply if you need any more help.

If it's not Firefox Private Network, what is the product name? What company did you sign up with? There should be a contract or document they sent you where this info is specified. Unless it was sold by Mozilla you will probably not find help from them. Also beware that you may have been scammed by people pretending to be Mozilla (on a tech support call), however, they would probably ask for larger amounts.

The charge on my credit card is from Mozilla Corporation Mozilla.org CA. I don't see any of the icons that would indicate that the Private Network is installed.

As far as I know Firefox Private Network is Mozilla's only $2.99/mo product. Install the extension (How to install/uninstall the Firefox Private Network extension) and options related to your account should be in its settings. See How do I cancel my subscription to Firefox Private Network? More info: Firefox Private Network Help You can also contact the administrators directly and sort it out: Help, I still have questions about Firefox Private Network.

If you do not have a Firefox Private Network account and nobody you know uses Firefox Private Network, somebody could have gained access to your credit card and set up the payments from your account, using the service themselves. Contact your bank and ask about suspicious activity and disable your card if necessary.

If FPN is installed then you should see this extension listed on the about:addons page. Do you see it on the Firefox Account settings page under connected devices ?

Thank you for trying but I don't see any extension listed on the addons page.

I think I am paying for Firefox Private Network. The problem is, I do not have the icon. The support page instructs you to click on the icon to cancel the subscription but - NO ICON.

This is probably because you, or someone else, has uninstalled the extension (icon) without cancelling the subscription. To access the option, reinstall the extension: How to install/uninstall the Firefox Private Network extension Its icon will appear and you will be able to manage your subscription. You're right that either the extension was never installed (because I didn't know what I was doing) or else I uninstalled it. The problem is that all the solutions start with that darn icon and I am unable to install the extension. I guess that's why they call it beta! I have had to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge to get it removed. I am very disappointed in Mozilla. I know it isn't intentional but the end result is like a scam.

You say you cannot install the extension, as the Beta release is for US desktop users only. Are you not in the US, or not on desktop? Maybe you could use a free VPN with location switching to circumvent this.

Anyway, I am sure more people will be able to help you if you post a query on the Firefox Private Network Support page instead.
