Firefox won't remember password

I updated to Firefox 72.0.2 and now Firefox can't remember my password on a site that I like to visit. (It's a hassle) It used to remember me just fine with the older Firefox I've tried everything the website administrator suggested and nothing works Please don't ask me to upgrade my Firefox again because I don't know what other unwanted things are going to happen.

What if you try to set up the login manually using the Create New Login button at the lower left: Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox?

As you guessed, Firefox 72 is no longer supported. The current and last version of Firefox for your version of MacOS X is Firefox 78: Firefox Mac OS X 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 users move to Extended Support Release.

There also are changes to the address bar drop-down which we can advise on if you find them troublesome.
