Anyone knows if Policies (thru policies.json file) works in Firefox for Android v68?

All the help I found say what I need to place a file (policies.json) in the Firefox distribution folden inside the folder where the executable file is. Anyone knows where the executable file is in Android Android is very picky about write in System folders besides I don't could find that folder in my Android 7.0 phone. Any help is welcome... Thanks in advance!

Hi

I think that you are looking at something for Firefox on the desktop. Firefox for Android is a different piece of software and this will not work for Android.

There ANY way to prevent to Firefox for Android to upgrade automatically? The Mozilla team says what from v63 the ONLY WAY is thru policies but if policies are not available in Android...what they remove to option of AppAutoUpdate?

It not make any sense... Don't is Firefox the king of freedom in browsers? Mandatory upgrades? Like W10 Don't seems too freedom to me...

Firefox for Android will update automatically from the Google Play store if you have the Google Play store set to do this - a good thing that keeps your apps, data and device secure.

I delete Firefox v79 installed from Google PlayStore and installed v68 by hand downloading .apk from Mozilla site, but because don't have a option to disable updates it update again to v79... So Google PlayStore don't have the responsability...

Yes. As mentioned, Firefox for Android will update automatically if you have automatic updates set (and it is recomended that you do).

I think what I don't make myselft clear... I DONT WANT FIREFOX UPGRADE... I want Firefox v68 stay as my browser...

I don't have automatic updates set because FIREFOX DONT HAVE THAT OPTION to my to choose if a I want or not... So to make myself clear... I want to install Firefox v68 AND NOT UPDATE ANYMORE... I installed .apk so Google Playstore settings are not important..

Is any way to avoid to Firefox to Upgrade? Thanks!

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.
