Hi. I've only just launched an up to date firefox as I've been using an ancient computer for years. Now Firefox monitor is saying that various accounts of mine have been breached, but i think i created some of the accounts with Facebook login details, rather than with their own passwords. You know like when it says 'Sign up with Google or Facebook' and you just click that and enter your facebook/google login. So I'm confused now. Does that mean my facebook login details have been breached? Or has doing it that way actually protected my details? Any help really appreciated, thanks so much.

Hi goonberries, glad to see you on Mozilla Support Forum.

Yes if you login an account from facebook means you are giving your account's full access to that website. So, It clearly means that your all accounts are on Big Risk. Change All of your Passwords as soon as it is possible.

Hope it helps. Thank You.

Hi, thanks but unfortunately I can't find an FAQ that answers my particular question. If anyone can answer me directly rather than sending me to a generic list of FAQs I'd be so grateful. I do understand what a data breach is, I just don't understand it in this particular context - when I've set up a new account with various random online companies VIA FACEBOOK ie i haven't given a new username and password but rather I just chose to 'signup using Facebook'. It's a very common thing nowadays so i can't help thinking other people must have to same question!!
