Since yesterday, Firefox has been glitchy and reloading pages with errors. When I first open Firefox, it's fine. But when I reload pages, there are errors.
I'm the sort of person who deletes his cache and history after EVERY session, running spyware and virus scanners every night.
Halfway through using the browser yesterday when several (not all) pages began appearing as they do in the attached photos. As shown with the two LinkedIn examples, reloading would sometimes get the page itself back up, but images (avatars) and embedded media won't show up.
I hadn't changed any settings before this started happening. I thought it might be an add-on/extension problem, but I have all the same ones in Opera and everything is showing up fine there.

I understand you have the same extensions in Opera but are not experience issues. However, please try to disable the extensions one by one to see if it helps. Extensions that work in one browser may not necessarily work in another.
I'm well aware of the fact that Firefox and Opera aren't the same thing, but having both with the same extensions allows me (and anyone trying to help me) better know that the problem is to better assist me.
I closed and restarted Firefox - so far, it's working fine. But then, I closed it yesterday and it was working fine at the start of today. And, as I said, I haven't made any changes or added/removed any extensions in the time before or after the glitches started happening yesterday. If it starts happening again, I'll consider disabling add-ons.
Said add-ons are in the screenshot below.
It's been two weeks and the problem still hasn't been solved. And I now know for sure that it isn't the plug-ins.
If I close my laptop (or just step away for a little while and let it completely fall asleep), I'll re-open it and Firefox will show the glitches above. This happens only with Firefox.
hello buddyl thanks for your question I hope these steps can solve your problem
1. Restart your computer
2. Clear your cookies and cache 3. Restart Firefox in Safe Mode 4. Reinstall Firefox 5. Refresh Firefox 6. Create a new Firefox profile Other solutions Check browser internals Troubleshoot the Flash plugin Check for conflicts with your Internet security software Check for malware
Is it helpfull to you?
I'm not using Firefox 6, it's 77.0.61 (64-bit). The problem started soon after the last update.
And I already delete the cookies/cache after every session, right before I run SpyBot, Malware, and close my laptop with the virus-scanner.
Hi BuddyL, unstyled HTML often indicates a problem loading style sheet files from a secondary server or applying them after download. This could be due to a secure connection problem or a filter that is blocking access.
In some cases, it can be caused by cache corruption and corrected using a full page reload (Ctrl+Shift+r).
Since the problem is intermittent, I don't think it's likely to be a secure connection problem. Is your browsing filtered by a proxy server, security suite, or parental controls?
