The "Warn when closing multiple tabs" option (which, by the way, is hidden for some reason until you modify its value via about:config) doesn't even do anything. You could close like 10 tabs and Firefox will do it without warning you. Same with the "Close other tabs/tabs to the right" options.

No!

What I & others are saying, is that we need & want the "warn when closing multiple tabs" to be returned to the Firefox browser.

Why they dropped it is beyond me, but it's a royal PITA to have to restore tabs via recent history when it happens.

We do NOT want all sorts of advice on how to try to partially restore the feature, nor to find the lost tabs! The OP was pretty clear that the feature was gone, & he & others since have said that we want it put back!

It is NOT rocket science, but IT folks seem to want to go all around the simple issue of keeping or returning a removed safety feature.

Firefox/Mozilla Team - just return the dang "warn when closing multiple tabs" feature!

PS - And the Mozilla programming team is certainly monitoring this board for problems - so the suggestion to go posting in a bunch of other places is overkill. Also from past experience since the Netscape days, they don't listen to us anyway!

It's been since April 2019, with no resolution!

If you're with Mozilla jscher2000, then just tell them about the problem & user dissatisfaction.

While I appreciate your suggestions, it's not helping the core problem to provide workarounds.

Hi Tom, I'm not a Mozilla employee, just a very busy support volunteer who only has time to take on a few fights at a time. This is not one of those issues for me. Put your passion to work. Or don't.

Nothing against you, & as I said above, I appreciate that you're trying to help folks.

My frustration is with Mozilla's long standing lack of user consideration in these matters.

Thanx! Tom ///////
