Mozilla notified me I am victim of data breach. One of their recommendations is to notify financial institutions. I need to know if this is neccessary since I do not do online banking. I have no financial info on my laptop except an Excel spreadsheet where I track CD / IRA interest rates. I'm thinking when Firefox reported : "Dates of birth, Email addresses, Employers, Genders, Geographic locations, IP addresses, Job titles, Names, Phone numbers, Physical addresses" that this is a generic statement and may not be 100% specific for me. Your thoughts on this. Certinly would prefer a conversation with a live person than doing this

Hi jmbh, when there is a data breach, the company that was holding your data may list all of the categories to which access was possible, because there might be no way to know what data was actually viewed/copied.

Data for Firefox Monitor is supplied by the following service, which may have more or different information:

You can find a lot of advice on how to respond to a data breach, from credit monitoring to instructing the major agencies to put a freeze on new credit requests. This is beyond the scope of the support forum. I did think this page posted by the United States Federal Trade Commission was interesting:
