Firefox 64 is slow during downloads
Hi,
my Firefox setup on a linux installation becomes nearly unusable during downloads or playback of videos. The system load is constantly at 25-30% and firefox does not react at all or with a lot of lag (more than 10 seconds to select a different tab). In addition to that, the downloads are slow and also opening the downloads windows is slow. Safe mode does not fix the issue, disabling addons does not fix it, a clean profile also does not fix it. What else can I try?
System: OS: Manjaro Linux (Current version), Kernel 4.20. Hardware: Notebook with Intel i5-3320M (4) @ 3.300GHz, 16 GB of RAM, SSD Drive RAM use is somewhere around 3-4 GB, depending on the number of open tabs. SWAP is available but not used.
Any idea anyone? What data should I provide?

First off if you download and watch stream at the same time it will slow the Browser as that is taxing to ask it to do two intensive task of it. You will have to decide download or Stream you can't have both.

Hi, Firefox slows done even if I do nothing except download one single file.
Doing the same download with a different browser does not cause similar lag or CPU load.
Are you downloading using just the browser, or are you using a download manager?
I use just the browser.
