Google Chrome speedtest.net results are consistently 700+ Mbps. No matter what I do I can't get Firefox to go over 300 Mbps. I get the same results with Waterfox and Pale Moon and get the same results when I run Firefox in Safe Mode. How can I fix this?

Can you provide screenshot of both test on both Browser minus personal data. I tried both on both Browser and got more Upload speed and equal Download speed. And also I saw they connected to two different sites to test so that can also factor in as well. So did you make sure both sites it connected to where the same? Also I think your misinterpreting the speed test to actual ISP speeds.

You posted with the Waterfox 56 browser.

Does this also happen with the official Firefox release?

It is possible that security software (anti-virus, firewall) is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

It happens on the official Firefox release as well as Pale Moon and Waterfox. I don't have security software (anti-virus or firewall). I used the same server site for both browsers. This is a consistent result I'm getting. No matter what there is no way to get a speedtest.net reading over 300 Mbps on Firefox.

Not sure what you mean. Please reference the video I posted: https://youtu.be/p77INvxmIaQ I have gigabit internet and repeatedly get 700+ Mbps on Google Chrome. Can't get over 300 Mbps on Firefox.

Win 7 has its own anti-virus and firewall. Are those disabled?

Yes both are disabled.

This download manager works separately from the browser. The browser tells it what to download, and off it goes.

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org It is a powerful modern download accelerator and organizer for Windows and Mac.

What does www.Fast.com show?

(Note in settings the Parallel connections. I suppose set these to how many Bonded Channels you have?)

Mozilla is still capped at 300 Mbps using fast.com. Chrome is showing 470. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!?!

I have found that if I do downloads with Firefox alone, it's slow. But if I use a download manager add-on, it's much faster.

How many Bonded Channels do you have? Set that number in the NetFlix Fast Settings. For now, my modem has only 4 Channels. I need to update my modem, as my city has gone way, way above 4 Channels. If you don't know, start with 4 and work your way up to 16 in the Fast Settings. Or perhaps enter a range of 2 and 16.

I got maximum download speed when I entered 4/4. (I have 60Mbps service.)

Oh? Why is FF doing this? Is this known by Mozilla?

Interesting on the Download Manager. I'll have to check into this.
