Why is Firefox automatically deleting my browser history over a period of time?
I was trying to get to pages that I had previously been on using the search bar at the top but noticed that Firefox refused to show them. I checked my history and found that Firefox had deleted all my history from October 19th to 28th. How do I stop this?

Oh and apparently I lost a bunch of my bookmarks too.
Firefox normally trims old history to keep the total number of records to a reasonable level. But that doesn't usually affect recent months for most users.
Considering that you also lost bookmarks, is it possible that your data got rolled back for some reason, such as
- Windows system restore
- Using an older Firefox profile instead of your latest one
Assuming your data didn't get rolled back, you may have a recent bookmark backup you can restore. This article describes how to access those:
Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer
Thanks for replying, but I haven't done a Windows system restore since this started happening, and as far as I know I didn't set Firefox to an older profile, so I'm still not sure why my history is missing.
Is there only one profile folder present if you check this in "AppData\Roaming"?
You can use the button on the on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page or the about:profiles page and go up one level.
You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.
Yep, only one profile, and there's no "Old Firefox Data" folder on my desktop.
