Website has a bottom divider that slides up. is there a way to stop this?
The news website https://www.news.com.au/, if you go to any story, if you scroll more than a certain way down, then an irritating divider opens up at the bottom, and slides up.
It's always titled "More In ...."
You can click for it to go down again, but if you open 10 webpages you end up doing this 10 times, which after a while is more than a little irritating.
We have popup blockers, blockers that stop videos from auto-starting, but I'm not even clear what this 'feature' is called, let alone how to disable it short of giving up on this website.
Any suggestions?

Noscript.

I would call it an "overlay" but more generically, it's an "element" of the page. If you use uBlock Origin or another ad blocker, it probably has a feature to block annoying elements in pages without needing a new extension.

While I personally love NoScript, it probably is overkill for this little annoyance. You'll discover that you need to approve scripts on every page for several months to get the whitelist built up. That said, it's very educational to see all the zillions of servers that can be involved in rendering a page fully.
It's already an annoyance to approve the scripts, but as I need only it on one website, I've turned it off.
I'll turn it on again when I need it.
