Hi Since around last month Firefox suddenly turns off my computer (as if there was no electricity but all pc lights are still lit) when i open more than five tabs with much data. It happened three times in a row when i opened more than 5 tabs with gifs from this page https://www.cdaction.pl/news-53527/nadgodziny-zaktualizowalismy-polityke-prywatnosci.html some other pages cause this problem too. It never happened util last month and there were no changes in my pc. I have i5-4690k, 16gb ram and 240gb SSD

I opened the link with no problem.

You are saying the Computer shuts down, not just Firefox?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Refreshing and using Firefox in safe mode seems to have fixed the problem for now Thanks for the reply

Firefox shutted down my computer when I have opened pages 10,11,12,13,14,15 from the link at the same time (6 tabs total at the same time). Strangely instead of Firefox crashing my whole computer shutted down. All websites with mostly text work fine but when there are more data (videos/gifs etc running) pc shuts down. Temperatures are fine, cpu and ram usage not more than 40%. Last time I had opened facebook, bank page and youtube when it happened.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or it could be Hardware Acceleration. How to disable Hardware Acceleration {web link}

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All Of them.

If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.

Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is, detective.
