Did your Firefox identify itself accurate as Firefox 12 on OSX 10.5? As you know, this version has not updated for a long time, so I don't think there are any changes to roll back.
If reloading (Command+r) doesn't help, could you try finding their home page using a web search? Just in case they moved their website or reorganized it and the old address doesn't work any more.
Note that Firefox 16 is the last version that runs on Intel Mac OS X 10.5.
