Why does Firefox want to load almost 800MB of information when it starts?
I do not have Firefox set to reload my last session. However it always wants to load a huge amount of information when it starts.
How can I stop it from doing that?

What information is Firefox trying to load? Like, where do you see that?
I don't know what it is trying to load. I see it loading when I look at the Task Manager
So, you are talking about used RAM? Are you seeing issues (slowness, crashes, etc.) or just noticed how much RAM firefox was using?
Yes, Firefox is very slow at startup and at other times when I change pages.
Hi !
Would you please take a look at the article :
Firefox takes a long time to start up
Edit : Removed a link that led to an article that could have caused other issues, which was pointed out to me by Tyler Downer.

Have you tried refreshing Firefox? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
Yes, many times
Also rebooting.
So you've actually followed the steps in that article to refresh Firefox? Or just closed firefox and opened it again?
Can you please go to about:support in your URL bar and copy and paste that information here?
I haven't done the article yet. The system is at my home and I am now at work. I will make sure that I follow the article to the letter and get back to you later.
Great, let me know how it goes!
It now only wants to load 187656K
