Firefox loses my history and sarts with the home page about once a week
I run firefox under windows 10 32 bit OS
I like to keep some folders open to keep check on eBay etc. I have firefox set to load my settings from last time each moprning when started. About once a week firefox starts and just has the home page. When I look in the menu at history 'restore previous session' is grey. I have to then reload about 8 bookmarks. This is happening often enough to become annoying.

Let's see if we can track this down.
When Restore Previous Session is grayed, it's always worth checking for any closed windows you might be able to restore, or closed tabs in each window that does restore.
I assume there's nothing different about how you exit out of Firefox (and shut down Windows?) between sessions where everything works normally and sessions where you have no previous tabs/windows at startup?
Your open windows and tabs are stored in session history, which is a separate file from your browsing history but may be cleared if history is cleared. Are you losing any other history, or is it limited to session history?
Something that happens at regular intervals makes me think of external "cleaning" programs such as CCleaner that can purge browsing data. Can you think of any cleaning or privacy programs on your system that might be erasing Firefox data?
I always exit Firefox and windows the same way. Could it have anything to do with Firefox or windows updates?
I have CCleaner and have now uninstalled it to see if that solves the problem.
Thanks for your help
