Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

You can try to disable multi-process tabs in Firefox. You can disable multi-process tabs in Firefox by setting the related prefs to false on the about:config page.

I had only 1 browser.tabs.remote.autostart , and its already set to False.

Firefox crashes even if I have just 1 window open. FredMcD said

I have been working in safe mode only. The bug report I submitted was from safe mode. I will post more reports here as and when firefox crashes today.

I also use Thunderbird and even that crashes occasionally. Could it a problem elsewhere ? This is a new laptop and I ran hardware diagnosis test, and it reported no issues.

Dear Team,

So I installed the "win7-32bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-16.12.2-jan3" version and the crashes are a lot less now. It didn't crash even once on saturday, but it has crashed twice since today morning.

I also removed the beta version of firefox and installed 51.0.1 (32-bit) version.
