I just updated my Mac to SnowLeopard. Firefox, which I have had downloaded and used for a year or so seemed "normal" until this. Cannot read a whole line of type unless I "zoom out" 3 times because the words run off the right edge of the screen. Then, when go to another page, have to repeat the zoomx3. The line of red type across bottom of page appeared at same time. Is old typewriter-style typeface, bright red in a light gray field of its own. Says <menuitem id="abp-status-shownotifications" label="&shownotifications.label;" type="checkbox" command=abp-commaFALLSOFF EDGE OF PAGE. There is a line 2, which says ----------^ The field with this text takes space from a page that it shouldn't, of course. About 3/4". WHEN I PUT THE SNOW LEOPARD TO "INSTALL", it did so, but nowhere does it say 'EJECT THE DISC WHEN INSTALL COMPLETED", so I did not Should I? And, if so, how? (Have never played a disc on my Mac). Keep wondering if this is the prob. </p>

Hi y'all, thanks for help attempts. Before I found out that all your replies were in my regular email inbox (SURPRISE! and good news) and then read them, I had already fiddled around with different Moz Ff pages, incl one for starting up, etc., and found that you can "refresh Ff", plus how to do it.

Suspecting that I had accidentally messed up something, I did this and LO ! when Ff restarted, all is o.k. May never know what I did wrong, but thanks for the help. MUCH appreciated. shava

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...
