I see a message that Google is tracking my activity and Firefox will stop it - is it really Firefox?
Before I use anything I check with the owner web site to confirm it's actually legitimate. Does Mozilla ( Firefox ) actually put out this message and is it safe to use?

Can you include a screenshot of the message you are getting?
The fault is mine. I'm 67 and frankly don't know how to screenshot.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
