I have a nice pc and now a new imac / capitan. I use firefox on all my devices. it is now installed on my imac. When on my pc i just click on the firefox icon in my taskbar and the browser appears. When I click on the firefox icon on my imac a new window with a blue background pops up with the firefox logo and a folder inside it. then shortly after the browser comes up. But in order to get rid of the small blue box with the logo and folder I have to click on the x in the top left of the small blue box. From that point on I can click on the firefox icon in my taskbar and it opens the browser without the blue box appearing. I have followed other forums and tried what they said to do and it did not work. Everytime I turn on a my imac I have to go through this. This is really annoying. One of the solutions suggested was to drag the firefox logo off the small blue window and into the applications folder. I did this. A small firefox logo appeared in my applications folder. I was asked to delete the generic icon that was placed in my applications folder when I downloaded firefox. I dragged it to the trash. The small firefox logo remained. I did a restart and the problem still persists. Any ideas?
