I am in a catch 22; because my username and password don't work, I cannot log in to ask how to update my obsolete e-mail address.
Irony of ironies. I had to create a new account (long, involved, esoteric route) to ask a question, and I could not use my username, because it already was taken (presumably by me ;)) I now have a new Mozilla support account, and the old one with the obsolete e-mail address presumably will sit there waiting for me until some auto-cleaning process eventually eliminates it for inactivity.

Any username/password issues should be posted here with password in the heading; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors
A canned response, telling people who are unable to log-in to post on any site that requires log-in, merely spells "CATCH-22" in capital letters.
You are logged in already, since you were able to post here. So why don't you do what was recommended?
No need to be rude to the support contributors here.

Please Please do not put your actual account password in subject line or post of a created thread there as some may misread this as suggesting you to do.

Perhaps if you were to read "Catch 22," and tried to understand the issue, you would not behave rudely with any judgmental and vapid responses.
