The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Macbook Pro, 2011, 8Gb, OS 10.6.8, OS up to date. Crash on Quit happens on every version of Firefox for a year. Did FF Reset, no better. Cannot use Safe Mode since the websites I visit play videos. If I visit several sites in succession, most notably huffpost.com, click on several links (and opening new windows as I do), Firefox runs slower and slower and slower. Something is happening in FF when it is releasing resources prior to quit. It gets worse the more URLs are visited in a browsing session. I can't believe this is not happening elsewhere.

This is EXACTLY my main problem. There are others - boy are there others - but this one makes the browser almost totally unusable if you're going to be on it for more than 45 minutes.

Here's another batch of the same problem. Clearing cache precipitates the problem. Memory disappears, and eventually, I have to reboot an 8Gb machine.

These are the same as the first report in your last batch.

Let's try something;

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Check out 'safe' websites like Mozilla. Is the problem still there?

This didn't start well. The directions in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode don't work: there is no help button under the list/menu. See Attached.

OK, your directions appeared to call for holding down the shift key and option key when starting FF in Safe Mode. That didn't work. The URL directions say option key only, which did work. I clicked on Start in Safe Mode. Then I hit about a dozen hyperlinks in Mozilla.org, opening new windows each time via shift-click. (Some of those pictures look like they came from an old Bernie Sanders rally.) Upon exit, FF quit gracefully. OK, FF works fine in Safe Mode, on mild, benign sites.

But that's not how the problem manifests itself. I browse about 8 news sites daily (huffingtonpost, Slate, GoComics, etc.) with lots of graphics and embedded videos, opening new windows in FF each time I click on a hyperlink. What I am experiencing is a cumulative problem, over the course of days, which looks a whole lot like a RAM memory leak. After a reboot, things run well for several days without rebooting. Then, FF starts running slower and slower, pinwheels all over, crashing. Again, a reboot will reset things to working again.

It isn't a problem with internet. As FF slows to 10-40 seconds between moves while I am playing an on-line sudoku game, Safari, running the same URL simultaneously, snaps out the moves within 1 second. Something in FF is clogged up or not running on available memory. Asking FF to clear cache doesn't help, either on startup or on exit. Once it gets clogged, a crash is inevitable. And then other programs start to run slower and slower. And I have to reboot.

A year ago, I was rebooting 10.6.8 less than once a month. The only new program since then is FF. Now, I have to reboot every few days.

Is there a Mac tool available that measures available memory? I can Quit all programs except FF, look at available memory, do my browsing, and look at available memory again. If FF is returning all its RAM resources, the numbers should be very close to equal.

(In a previous career evolution, I was a programmer, and currently maintain a small Mac program using XCode and C, It's OK to talk tech to me. If I don't understand, I'll ask.)
