It takes me a long time to connect to some websites. I see this message "Transferring data from where I want to go..." at the bottom left of the page. When I connect to these websites on Google Chrome, I face no problems. I also use a computer at my work place and I don't have the same connection problem on my office computer.

I use COMODO Firewall and Panda Free Antivirus. I have already turned off these programs, but that doesn't work at all.

For your reference, I included some screenshots. Do I have to modify Firefox's configuration (about:config)? Please help me.

You can download 4 screenshots here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Xn5MlqQRF3VHFYY3JObG9jNFE/view?usp=sharing

I appreciate your help.

Hello? I solved the problem above by resetting Firefox. Fortunately, my Firefox account and bookmarks still exist, so I just had to modify the add-ons and Firefox's settings. After I reset Firefox, I didn't modify any settings in about:config. Here is how I reset Firefox. You can find the method on the internet as well. 1. Click the menu button and then click help . 2. From the Help menu choose Troubleshooting Information. ... 3. Click the Reset Firefox… button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page. 4. To continue, click Reset Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.

I still don't know which setting makes Firefox load some websites. Anyway, I fixed the problem. Thank you for your kind answer.

Is your connection slow with other websites, or just that one? Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

I still see the message 'transferring data from...' even though I start in Safe Mode.

My connection slow with these websites. I cannot check if it takes a long time to connect to all websites. I think that there may be more slow-connection websites. I really need your help.

As to the data window bottom right, this lets the user know what the browser is doing (receiving from / sending to). Do not worry about it.

As to the websites, they are slow to load. What about Mozilla? Is it slow to load?

This may be a website issue.

These websites show up quickly in my workplace desktop computer. I still don't know why Firefox on my laptop faces this problem.

I have already re-installed Firefox before... That doesn't work.
