Hi, Firefox repetitvely and seemingly randomly crashes. Almost 60 crashes in 1 mth of usage... This is only the "visible part of the iceberg" though, since I've changed just everything, my internet connection, my WiFi key, my GPU, up to my OS and my PC, nothing seem to solve this, even switching browser (sorry) or using older versions of Firefox doesn't help since those also crash as well.

I uploaded my entire about:crashes page -to date- there: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=79134913395586749201 (also a screenshot of the page is attached) The most recent one is: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/1aba5f95-753c-4fea-9857-662e02160625

Weird and worth mentionning, I think, is that the problem seems to sometimes disappear, I've not experienced any problem for almost one month,(after I changed my WiFi key) as you can see on the uploaded page, then it's pretty every 5 minutes - sometimes Firefox can't be even launched again after a crash, and I need to reboot the PC. In a couple occurences, I even encountered BSOD – not sure weather they really have a connection but anyway, so far I've got those only while browsing the Web, as far as I can recall. These are mostly about Memory Management into the Kernel; I also uploaded a list here: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=91555958203709593743

I'm just too tired of that now and I really hope a solution can eventually be found. Thanks.

hi, due to the range of error signatures, i would speculate that faulty hardware might be involved in the issue. can you test the integrity of your RAM with a tool like www.memtest.org?

You can also check for issues caused by plugins.

Hi, Thanks for your replies.

@phillip Performed a memtest (though I experienced a crash even on the lightweight page of this program), and well, the results seem to be.... catastrophical?

I hope this is enough information.

Of note is: now Thunderbird begins to experience such issues (twice in a few days).

I just wonder: why could my RAM be corrupted like this? The PC is only a couple months old. And my precious PC had the same issues (at least, the same symptoms), could something exterior cause this? And why does this impact only Web programs?

@cor-el Gonna try this soon. But according to the memtest results, I'm not sure this would change anything, alas.

yes, each error there is one too much - so you should look at replacing the RAM (if it's still a new machine that should normally fall under the terms of warranty).

as to the causes of it: RAM modules are a mass produced good and studies show that failures there are quite common - up to 10% of modules per year is some studies. i don't think that external factors are likely to play a discernible part in that (unless you're sitting in a huge electromagnetic field), but it's more a question of bad luck...

OK, I'll try to ask for warranty in the next days. What is puzzling me is that there seemed to be the same issue on my previous computer - which ran perfectly fine for years, before I began to experience those issues. Can't some malware or corrupted file be the source? here's my history:

- 1st PC ran under Linux; problem appareas - 2nd PC bought, OS-free; I install Linux on it, and transfer personal data from 1st PC on it; problem persists - Installed Windows on 2nd PC; problem persists

Hi, Thanks for your help! I've changed my RAM card claiming warranty. My seller was stunned, as it is from Crucial brand which, he say, is the most reliable, but running a Memtest got the same results as I did. With this news RAM, so far, everything seems to have come back to normal... Crossing finger for this situation to last as long as possible. Thank you again!
