I am having to reinstall my add-ons every startup.
For the last two weeks or so, every time I open Firefox I get install tabs for each of my add-ons, and have to go through them all to get a session going. So basically it is for some reason not saving the add-on information. I only have a half dozen or so, but it's still annoying when I haven't even had my coffee yet.
The first couple of times I thought that there must have been a Firefox upgrade that required this, but I don't think that makes sense when it keeps happening. The only way to avoid this is by just setting the computer to sleep and leaving Firefox open, but I'm an old (in every sense) tech support person and still have a daily shut down and restart ingrained in my psyche.
I did go into the add-on manager and completely removed a couple that I no longer use. There were also three that were disabled because they couldn't be verified for Firefox, and I can't actually remove those.
I should have saved a screen shot, but haven't yet. I'll do this the next time it happens, probably tomorrow morning.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.
Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
After, restart Firefox.
See "Corrupt extension files":
I'm not sure if this worked or not, yet, but after restarting Firefox I did get exactly the same reinstall effect and so got a screenshot
That is normal as the add-ons files were removed. Restart again.
Same thing this morning, again.
If this hasn't helped then also delete possible addons.json and addons.sqlite files.
You can also check for problems with preferences.
