All of a sudden my printer is not printing out the information in the usual normal size, but very large which shows at least half of the information is missing. This is only happening on my computer which is connected to the internet, my printer is not at fault, as I have printed out other information from my computer that is NOT connect to the internet. I believe the problem is with Firefox, because if I used IE and print out the same information, it prints perfectly. I have not touched any settings as far as I know, does anyone know why this has happened and what I can do to rectify this problem. My operating system is Windows 7. I'm no computer expert, so if anyone knows the answer, please don't use technical lingo.

Firefox remembers that setting, once it is changed the "new" setting will be used until you change it back.

Now, if you are printing a PDF file you won't get the Print Preview window. The internal PDF reader by-passes the Print Preview window and goes directly to the "native print dialog" from the operating system. That also is also the case with any external application that is opened in the Firefox browser window. But (Alt) - File > Page Setup is available when you don't see a Print Preview to double-check your setting in Firefox, and change it if necessary.

So when you do change Print settings like the Scale, you have to be careful to return the Scale to Shrink to Fit or 100% before walking away from your PC. That caused me grief until I got in the habit of going back to Shrink to Fit after I changed the Scale for a "one-off" printing of something in Firefox so I wouldn't have the wrong Scale getting used the "next time".

Check the Scale setting in the Print Preview window or File Page Setup - Shrink to Fit or 100% is best.

Hi edmeister Thanks for your reply to my printer problem, it helps partially but not completely. Not every time when printing do you get the option to print preview as I don't when printing my Bank Statements thats when I noticed the problem for the FIRST TIME 2 days ago, every month before then it printed perfectly, so something has changed unknown to me. So how do I get it back to where it was, NORMAL,

Hi Ed Thanks, I was able to test out what you said above and yes it works for me. I must have changed the setting at sometime to be able to read it better not print at that size, but didn't realise it would stay that way next time I wanted to print something. Will remember in the future to change it back , Thank you again.
